From festive food to spooky decorations and fun ride makeovers, Disneyland and California Adventure will be the place to be this fall! Unlike last year, the parks are open, and Halloween memories will be ready to be made this season with all of your favorite characters, rides, and shows!
Disneyland
Starting September 3rd, the popular giant Mickey carved pumpkin & hundreds of jack-o’-lanterns will be waiting to greet you on Main Street USA. Over in New Orleans Square, “Haunted Mansion Holiday” with the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay will be back, and the park will have a supernatural projection and special effects show called “Halloween Screams” happening at Sleeping Beauty Castle (enhanced with fireworks on the weekends). 💥 😃
Disney’s California Adventure
Cars Land gets special effects with Radiator Springs becoming Radiator Screams! 😱 Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters will become Luigi’s Honkin Haul-O-Ween and Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree will become Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree.
Starting on September 9th, Oogie Boogie Bash will be back (a special ticketed event).
As stated in the Disney Parks Blog: “At Oogie Boogie Bash, kids and guests of all ages can trick-or-treat their way through the park in their favorite Halloween costumes and encounter characters both spooky and fantastic. At this limited-capacity event, you can experience Disney California Adventure park in a unique way, with exclusive offerings like immersive treat trails, “Frightfully Fun Parade”, Villain’s Grove at the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, “Mickey’s Trick & Treat” show, and more. Tickets for Oogie Boogie Bash will go on sale beginning Tuesday, July 13, 2021 (no earlier than 9 a.m. PT) at Disneyland.com/OogieBoogieBash.”
Many people say that ‘The Villains Grove’ Halloween overlay of Redwood Creek Challenge Trail was their favorite part of Oogie Boogie Bash in the past. Oogie Boogie himself, Maleficent, and The Evil Queen will all be a part of the trail.
The “Frightfully Fun Parade” will include the Headless Horseman and Ichabod Crane, and “Mickey’s Trick & Treat Show” will be performed at the Disney Junior Stage.
Also, at Paradise Gardens in Disney’s California Adventure from Sept. 3 – Nov. 2, Plaza de la Familia returns with live entertainment, festive foods, crafts, and interactive experiences. Several times daily, you’ll be able to enjoy “A Musical Celebration of Coco”, a dynamic street show honoring Disney and Pixar’s “Coco”.
Downtown Disney
Besides tons of great decorations, Downtown Disney will be having an all-new Halloween-themed pumpkin hunt called Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit.
All of these activities and more will be part of the Disneyland Resort this Fall! Are you looking forward to it, and will you be going this year? 🤔 🎃
