Blizzard Beach reopening

After being closed for most of the past year for a refurbishment, Disney’s Blizzard Beach waterpark officially reopened on November 13th!

The biggest part of the update to the park was on the kids splash pad, wading pool, & slide area known as “Tike’s Peak”. This fun section now has a new Frozen theme which includes figures of young Anna & Elsa on an icy, igloo-like fortress, as well as Olaf & lots of their Snowgie friends! You will also hear tunes from the Frozen movies in the background track.

While at Blizzard Beach, guests can ride the chairlift to the top of Mount Gushmore where they can then get on slides such as the 12 story Summit Plummet, Slush Gusher, or the family inner tube raft slide (it seats up to 6), Teamboat Springs. They can race someone down the side-by-side, high speed Downhill Dubble Dipper, or go head first down the 8 lane Toboggan Racers. Another head first, toboggan style ride is Snow Stormers, where guests go down a zigzag slide past flag markers & slalom gates, just like they’re in a ski race. There are also 3 different inner tube slides beneath Mount Gushmore to enjoy called Runoff Rapids. Ski Patrol Training Camp is an area for kids that includes a challenge course, zip line & a few slides. But if slides aren’t your thing, & you would rather just relax, you’re in luck! You can enjoy the heated wave pool, Melt-Away Bay, relax on the white sand beach, or float along the 3,000 ft. lazy river known as Cross Country Creek.

From November 13th through December 31st, guests of Blizzard Beach can enjoy some special holiday time treats, festive decor, & even see snow, as well as Santa dressed for a sunny day at the beach!

Now that Blizzard Beach is open again, will you be visiting anytime soon?
